Listen to Christine... I got a dry socket when I had my wisdom teeth out and the pain was the worst pain that I could ever have imagined. Or I thought it was, until they packed it...I get chills just thinking about it.

I just had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out not that long ago and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would have been. They put me to sleep and I didn't even remember going out that when I woke up and they told me I could get up I said, but you didn't do anything yet. hehehe I had been out for an hour and I thought not even a minute went by. I would definitely recommend a lot of ice it really helps also milkshakes were miracles for me when it came to eating but use a spoon no straws!!! Good Luck

I will offer some advice on this subject, because I am actually the queen of oral surgery. I have had my wisdom teeth out twice (long story... 3 the first time, 1 the second time, plus a regular molar) and different surgeries about 5 other times. I've actually gotten to the point where I look forward to it. Sure, it's uncomfortable, but it is nice to be able to come home, relax, and have everyone take care of you. I suggest renting a lot of Bernadette movies, or watching ones that you have. It is really fun to just lay in bed for hours and watch Into the Woods, Cinderella, Sunday in the Park with George, etc. And you can watch Regis now too!

I agree with Christine- beware of dry sockets! They are very painful- luckily I only had them once. But I suggest soup, smoothies, and milkshakes (with a spoon, not a straw).
Good luck all of you getting wisdom teeth out! Don't worry, it's not so bad

LOL I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to turn this whole thread into teeth
When I did have those wisdom teeth removed, they were impacted...so I was put to sleep too. I'm actually a great patient when it comes to getting dental work done. It wasn't the teeth being taken out that hurt (keeping ice on the outside of your mouth will help with pain and swelling), it was getting the dry-socket artificially packed that hurt.....the Dentist even said to me (when I went back to get it done), "This is really going to hurt...but only for a minute." That's why I wanted to give you some tips onhow to avoid it.

Now, back to the original Topic LOL
I wish Bernadette was co-hosting instead of just being a guest. It's more fun when it's just her and Regis (not her, Regis, and Kelly). But I'm sure they'll do 2 segments (one of her singing). Wonder if she'll sing Rose's Turn again, since it was so topical after the Tony's?

i dont know that i'd like to see rose's turn on regis and kelly...i think the atmosphere wouldn't be ideal, but...i think it would be SO cute if the three of them sang "together, where ever we go" b/c regis sings and it would be light and fun.

i agree, though about Bernadette co-hosting...i LOVE her and regis together in teh "banter" segments!

I'm a pretty new fan and I've never seen her on Regis (I never get to watch any talk shows anyways since I'm at school...grrr!!!)

Does anyone know where I can get a transcript? Or can someone tell me what they talk about? I'm curious as to what her personality is like since I've only read magazine articles and talked to her a tiny bit after Gypsy!! Tell tell!!!

By the way, I apologize to the gazillions of other people here that have basically the same user name as me...LOL, maybe I should have figured that "BroadwayBaby" would be a common handle on this type of page! Don't think I'm trying to steal your thunder!

I don't believe transcripts from REGIS are available. However, it is on every morning (9am here)Monday- Friday. If you've ever seen ROSIE..its a lot like that only there are two hosts( Regis and Kelly). Its alays fun when Bernadette is a guest or co host on the show. She and Regis are very funny together and have wonerful chemistry...plus he adores her and that totally shows whenever she's on...or even when he talks about her LOL

Hmmm...I watch Regis and Kelly sometimes, but I think Kelly is a little annoying at times LOL...I'd much rather see Bernadette!

What a bummer that they don't have transcripts...what do they talk about? I'm sure it would be great!

They talk about... well, random stuff, mostly. They sort of just sit around and chit-chat about anything and everything (although I suspect Regis often chooses some of the subjects ahead of time, given the way he occasionally segues from one thing to another.)

I've never watched Regis when he was "Regis and Kathy Lee," nor do I watch it now that it's "Regis and Kelly," but I've seen the few episodes Bernadette has co-hosted. It's basically a half hour of chit-chat, then a few guests, and some trivia games.

But since she's not hosting next week, I have no idea what they'll talk about. Probably Gypsy, and Broadway Barks, and they usually ask about her husband Mike. She might sing -- I have no idea. Hope that helps.

I would imagine she will also promote Prince Charming a bit as well since it will be the following Sunday.

LOL I liked the one when Bernadette was trying to learn how to use a bow and arrow. That was funny.

Also, the time Tom Green was on, and the first words out of his mouth were, "Thank you. I'm so excited to be here on 'Regis and Bernadette.'"

I have t agree with BroadwayBaby123, I find Kelly to be very annoying. She is always playing with either her Hair or her mug. I think she has a good personality but to phony for me.

I once heard a rumor that they had offered Bernadette the permanent Co-host spot. Does anyone remember that or know if it was true?

Well, I remember there was an online poll for a while of who people wanted to replace Kathie Lee. Kelly Ripa wasn't even on it, but Bernadette was (along with a few others). You were able to cast your vote and there was a mini-message board. A lot of people thought that Bernadette played with her hair too much.

I actually found out way ahead of time that Kelly Ripa was in the midst of signing, but I wasn't really supposed to say anything. I found out because I was working for a talk show at the time, and it slipped out from one of the Producers one day. I was really wishing that Bernadette would be the new co-host, but then she wouldn't have as much time for her concerts, cd's, Charity projects, and now Gypsy. So it all worked out for the best. I was just surprised that she didn't guest-host one day when Kelly was on her last maternity leave; nor has she been a guest co-host on the View! Lisa Ling has been gone since January, and they've had guest co-hosts every day.

Well I think probably the reason she wasn't a co-host while Kelly was on leave was because it was right in the middle of Gypsy rehearsals. But I was hoping too. The View would have been cool too. Maybe now that she is well into the run of Gypsy, she can start to do these things again.

I'm sure Bernadette was approached about the job but I doubt she would want it. I think it would be too confining for her. It seems that Regis out and out offered it to her on the show the couple of times and she always avoided answering him.

There is just a certain quality about Kelly that is a bit off-putting to me...I think she acts too condescending when she explains things or makes remarks sometimes.

Who cares if Bernadette plays with her hair? She's got a ton of it and it's really curly, if I had hair like that I'd be pulling and twisting it around all day long!
