do yall have any info on if they are going to make a VHS of Gypsy like they did for ITW and SITPWG? that would be so wonderful! just wondering if any of yall knew anything about it or if you think they will or whatever you wanna throw out aboutit

Hi--

Somewhere down the line we discussed this before. The answer is..no one really knows. It'd be great if they did tough! And like I said once before...Harvey Weinstein is one of the produces of Gypsy so it'd be great if Miramax could produce it or whatever

A lot of people seem to think they won't because it's one of those shows that is revived a lot (just about every 10 years). It could effect future revival sales (I don't agree with that theory).

I would say no because Arthur Laurents was so unhappy with the way it appeared as a TV movie. I think he would be one of the ones not allowing it to be taped for public sale.

I really wish they would release it to the public though.

A TV movie version and a taped staged version are two completely different things though

I just think that he would prefer for people to see it in the actual theatre (the way it's meant to be seen), rather then on a television.

But I hope I'm wrong.
