I love the casting. And I don't think she needs to be sexy. It seems that is the given with Bernadette and any role she plays and I just feel she has proven herself enough that she can leave the T&A aspect out of a character. She's an actress, if the character is frumpy or just very business-like, she should be trusted to do it perfectly. Bernadette is obviously an extremely attractive woman and can bring that to a role but only if its needed. Let the woman be a true ACTOR.

Yes, Colleen, I thought of that too. That would be exciting! I don't watch the Law and Order shows too often but don't they sometimes have some recurring characters? I mean beyond the regular cast.

OKAY! Seriously, I just squeeled a little.
SVU happens to be my favorite TV show. Above all other shows.
I am a fan of Mariska Hargitay right up there with my fan status of Bernadette.
ALSO, November 28th is Mariska's first offical day back. She's in next week's episode, but her character is still undercover with the FBI. AHHH I hope she and Bernadette will have some scenes together!
And I will stop now, because I CAN go on all day talking about that show.

Isn't it wonderful about Liza too? And Angela Lansbury was on SVU last year and was nominated for an Emmy for it. Perhaps this will be an Emmy nom for Bernadette!
(Jerry Orbach was in more musicals than any other man. He was the first celebrity I saw when I moved to NYC 4.5 years ago and he looked exactly the way he did on L&O. I miss him so much.)
(And Jean - that list is way too long - there are toooooo many Broadway performers who find their way to L&O - I heard once that the L&O franchise is like a grant to NY stage actors so they can afford to keep living and working in NYC. Our own Kate has even been on L&O.)
