I'm glad Bernadette's appearance made me watch this show- it's an interesting programme, I'll watch it again.

It was good to see BP play such a hard-boiled and tough professional person. I have to say that I found her character, a woman who was a lawyer, much more interesting than her Ally McBeal 'woman in need of a lawyer' character. Even though the role was smaller it was so much bigger in every way.

My only quibble; it would have been great if her client hadn't been exonorated so quickly and she had been forced to represent him in court. I can just see her walking around the courtroom (on the back of her heels like she does) and putting each and every witness through absolute hell!

as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....

Totally agree. I don't think I bothered complaining about it at the time, but the Ally McBeal character just seemed like such an empty and annoying waste of time. This part, on the other hand, really had some meat to it. I do hope so much that they bring her back and expand the role. Courtroom senes would be tremendous!

Yes, Bernadette's Ally McBeal character (was it Cassandra?) was ever so slightly annoying because she seemed to have no sense of her own identity unless she was attached to a man. Her husband set her up with a bogus lover so that he would be absolved from any alimony payout . That means that two men have betrayed her and let her down .... so (naturally) she falls for the first guy who acts decently with her. It doesn't matter that he is a rather unattractive, effeminate and weird lawyer who is worried about being "too young" for her?

Oh dear, bring on Stella the smart lawyer in Law And Order SVU and let Bernadette get her teeth into the role of a real woman.

as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....
