I noticed how every experience people have had with Bernadette has been so wonderful and positive, that I wondered if anyone has ever had a bad (or should I say, unhappy) experience with Bernadette?
Ex: Not getting to meet her after an event or seeing her in a show or concert when she's had an "off" night.
I am truly a happier person because of Bernadette Peters

Well...January 2001, I went to my first Bernadette concert and I was hoping to meet her afterwards but I didn't :-( There were A TON of people outside waiting to see her and I think she wanted to get out of there. She signed autographs for a minute or two and then left. Frankly, I don't blame her. LOL!! But it doesn't matter because this past January I went to two concerts and I met her :-)...and in July I saw her at Broadway Barks AND I'm going to see "Gypsy" next year!!! So, it all worked out pretty well :-)

P.S. She sounded FANTASTIC at ALL the concerts I have seen :-)

This isn't really a negative experience, it's just that looking back on this, I want to kick myself...
When I saw AGYG a couple of years ago...in 2000, I think it was, I had heard of Bernadette, and seen Into the Woods w/ her (on video), but I didn't really know much about her except that she was an actress. Anyway, I was thinking that after the show it would be neat just to meet the ppl-(my cousin had told me that she doesthat at B'way shows, so I was like, okay)-but we had a train to catch, so we didn't have time. Afterward, like a couple months later, I started finding out more about BP, her work, etc. and then I was like...why didn't I stay and try to meet her after the show??? I'm so stupid! So what if we had missed the train!
Anyway. There's my stupid little story. Go ahead and laugh at me if you wish. I don't care. :-P

Dana- I was going to share the same story! I have to admit, it was a little disappointing, and she didn't stay very long afterwards to sign autographs, but maybe she was having a bad day. I've met her many times since the Jan. 2000 concert, so I guess it all worked out for me too

i had the same experience except is was after the RCMH concert. my dad had to go to work the next day, so we couldnt stay after the show, but people told me that she didnt stay long, so i dont feel THAT bad about it, LoL. i wudda loved to get pics of her in that gorgeous red dress though....haha thats gonna be my senoir prom dress, i think im gonna have it made...LoL
