Since Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette are such good friends, it seems like it might be of special interest. Also, I know there are a lot of animal lovers on this site.

Mary's activist role in this whole situation is very inspiring. It only increases my respect for her (which was already quite substantial).

| posted: 12/17/2004 at 9:35:29 PM ET I have also been following this story from the beginning. And I'm glad they have worked out a compromise.
That claim about MTM was hysterical. She hasn't worked in a long time and needs the money. She is one of the wealthiest women in show business. The sale of MTM Enterprises in the late 80s netted her over $100 million. Something tells me she hasn't spent it all. And it seems like I just watched her in a TV movie last year. I love what people make up when they are desperate.

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 12/17/2004 at 11:07:39 PM ET I know. Tacky people (always anonymous) grasping at straws--but, of course, the New York Post is always there for them, providing an eager forum. Sound familiar?

Registered: 6/7/2003 | posted: 12/18/2004 at 6:47:02 AM ET I just read about this yesterday, since it showed up in that prominent article in my Washington Post. You can see hundred's of articles, many duplicates, by going to Google News and then searching for "Mary Tyler Moore".
Ah, the New York Post--gives me a good laugh--talk about journalistic integrity.
