Sorry to say, "palmbeachpost.com" is reporting that Bernadette/Michael's home in Florida sustained some damage, but was being repaired:
"In a residential neighborhood...just north of Vero Beach, workers were patching the roof over Tony Award-winner Bernadette Peters' beachfront home. Peters also was a stalwart in 1980s movies such as The Jerk, Pennies From Heaven and Pink Cadillac.
'Quite a few shingles flew off, and water came pouring down,' said one of the workers, who identified himself only as Mark. He said he was sent to Peters' home from Fort Lauderdale, two hours south, because most Vero roofers in the area were booked. 'Her ceiling buckled and there's water damage on the carpet. Just like most folks around here.' "

Yes, that is awful. Poor Ms.Peters! Hope she's alright.
