| posted: 4/1/2006 at 7:52:16 PM ET Oh well I was completely wrong. I guess it just reminded me so much of the other mirror pictures in Spa Finder that I thought that was where it was from. But is from her time in Gypsy! Well I still like the picture I posted.

It was from a magazine article during Gypsy and I know I have it, but I can't remember where or find it right at the moment (my stuff's a big mess right now). I'll keep looking. Gotta go watch Liza now!

Registered: 11/6/2003 | posted: 4/2/2006 at 3:24:50 PM ET Have a feeling that whether it's the reception, concert or dinner the time one would spend with BP and SS is minisule. Having said that Sister Rose has me thinking of the reception and concert. Of course, for the dinner I'd need to know the menu before I shell out $5000!

Registered: 6/7/2003 | posted: 4/2/2006 at 6:05:53 PM ET This is a little off topic--it's about Sister Rose's avatar--I just climbed out of my archives (which have been moved to an undisclosed location), with the following:
I have a copy of an article in USA Today dated 6/4/2003, written by Elysa Gardner. It has the photo SR is using, with a credit to Todd Plitt, USA Today. The title of the article is "Bernadette Peters reflects on her "Gypsy" journey", and starts with "I am never again having my nails done at one of those places where I'm with a lot of people..."
NEW -- HERE IS THE ARTICLE:

(I know where BP has her nails done now because my friend Amy has coincidentally been there on more than one occasion at the chair next to her - I keep trying to get my friend to lose the excuse that her nails are wet and call me immediately so I can run over there!)

| posted: 4/3/2006 at 8:43:42 PM ET SisterRose, don't leave us hanging. Surely your friend has given you some info. Does Bernadette talk to the person doing her nails? reads? listens to music?, reads scripts? Give us anything. There has to be a funny or cute story she has shared.

From: NYC | posted: 4/3/2006 at 8:51:03 PM ET I'll tell her to email me something so I can post it. She said the first time it was almost a shock - she said BP really wouldn't have known who it was if it hadn't been for me. She did say that everytime BP would say anything, everybody would laugh - that she was very funny.

| posted: 4/3/2006 at 9:13:22 PM ET Well that's not surprising. Isn't that pretty much what Mary Tyler Moore said about Bernadette in her autobiography. That Bernadette is the funniest person she's ever met. I do remember the conversation I heard between Bernadette, Patty, Marvin, Cubby and Cubby's wife when they were waiting to rehearse for Nothing Like A Dame 2002. Bernadette was quite funny just in the patter between friends. Looking forward to any stories.

Registered: 11/6/2003 | posted: 4/4/2006 at 10:00:19 AM ET Now, Moljul I'm very surprised. You want Sister Rose's friend to give a peek into conversations BP may have had while getting her nails done. However, when you mentioned in a post a long time ago about your being seated near BP and others during the rehearsal for Nothing Like a Dame you indicated that it wouldn't be appropriate to discuss what was said. Which is it? If you want the beans spilled by Sister Rose's friend you'll have to cough it up too!

| posted: 4/4/2006 at 11:05:21 AM ET Well you caught me. Though I guess I think a conversation between friends is more private than a conversation between someone and their nail person though I could be wrong.
And just to keep the facts straight. I didn't hear too much (I wasn't TRYING to eavesdrop) though Bernadette made a funny joke. Truth be told if I repeated it, I'm not sure it would make much sense as it was one of those, you had to be there things.
But you are correct, I'm being quite inconsistent.

From: NYC | posted: 4/4/2006 at 11:33:28 AM ET My friend and I were recently privy to a conversation between two divas backstage at an opera concert - it was so exciting that once we walked away I completely forgot what they said! I useless when it comes to remembering exactly what people said...but I never forget a face or the feelling. Oh well. I keep threatening to hire a personal transcriber for events such as these.
