Tarbell turns show into fundraiser

"For two years, real estate mogul Don Tarbell has given his company's associates a Broadway show at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, with such groups as the Radio City Rockettes and Riverdance.
"Tonight's show, the third, at the Pond will feature Bernadette Peters, Brian "Stokes" Mitchell, The Young Americans, and Mark Watters and his 98-piece orchestra. And this year, the founder of Tarbell Realtors is asking associates to give something back.
As associates file into the Pond, volunteers with World Vision will solicit donors to sponsor children from Africa, Asia and South America, the company said this week. The Tarbell family will match each sponsorship."

Ah, so that's what the mysterious Anaheim show was all about--a private concert. I had thought it was just something that never materialized.
