No doubt, 'm sure this post will cause some kind of drama,however, that is not the intention of the post. As you know I'm pretty good about getting what I want. My amazingly annoying (yet unremarkable) determination was the creating force for the OFF TOPIC forum..(and being the baby of the family also gives me a lot of good training as well)...So, I would very much like to be the organizer of the petition. I believe in being obnoxious and disliked (much like Adams in 1776), however, because of HIS determination look where it got us.....a little thing called the FREE WORLD......also Adams didn't do it alone....I'm going to need a Jefferson and a Franklin.

I'll definitely participate. If you need any help Jarred, I'd me more than happy. As many of you well know - I can be just as stubborn and determined about something that I believe it. And I believe in this with my whole heart. So I would put my everything into getting this accomplished.

Jarred - 1776 references? You're my new best friend. I love John Adams - the character at least. As a President, he left a lot to be desired.
Anyways, that show made it to tape so I don't see why Gypsy can't either. I'll do anything I can to help you with this petition.

Count me in. And Ben Franklin was my idol as a kid. The Walter Issacson biography of Franklin that came out last year is a must read, BTW!
I wonder if any Gypsy performances towards the end of the run were recorded? It seems from most accounts that the cast really arose to a higher level towards the last few months.

eitak, i played the courier in 1776 last spring, and its my new favorite show..as much as i love GYPSY......1776 is still 1st on my list....

From what bliss has mentioned about Laurents I'm guessing a petition might not help our request.  But who knows.
