of fooling around with this! I have a very silly sense of humor,so this is a nonstop amusement.

But this is quite amusing...
BroadwayStars in Valley talk

EDIT: I can't link directly to the translation. Just type in http://www.broadwaystars.com

I totally found this link from something posted on BroadwayWorld (a redneck translator-here's BroadwayStars in redneck speak. Now I can talk about theater on my cousins' level.

(*kidding*. This is,of course, very exaggerated and a joke. I don't know anyone who talks like this, and I have relatives all over the glorious South. Not once have they uttered,"Fry mah hide!" I wish they had a New Orleans translation. However,I do think Annie Git Yer Gun is a more appropriate title. And I'm eagerly awaiting the revival of Who's Afraid of Ol Virginny Woo'f. If this offends anyone,I apologize, but I think it's funny, and my entire family is Southern. Don't have anyone above the Mason-Dixon line. Fry mah hide indeed.)

Some links won't translate-such as the NYT links.

I once translated a short-but important- briefing memo on an important piece of pending legislation and gave it to my boss; she came into my office--shared with 10 others --and just stood at the doorway and said "this is not funny and I don't understand it anyway." We all just about died. (That boss is my best friend but she still doesn't laugh at my occasional wacky jokes; perhaps like some people don't laugh at MTM's occasional wacky jokes.)

Going somewhere, are we??

Jean (too lazy/tired to log-in again.)

Tennessee-and white water rafting, which I'm very nervous about. I haven't been to TN in years,so I'm looking forward to it.

I realize others may not think this is funny. But it's late and I was tired, but I'm wide awake now.
