Does anyone know if Gypsy will be taped like Into The Woods and Sunday In The Park With George were.

It was, indeed, taped but only for archival purposes and, at the present time, has no plans of being released to the general public.

Hey~
You also have to take into consideration that they may even decide to tape the show after it closes, as they did with ITW...sometimes what they do is they will tape one of the final performance of the show and air it on PBS...some shows that have done this are Contact, Kiss me Kate, and many others! I really would love for them to tape this! Bernadette Peters is in her most electryfying, emotional, and most difficult show she has ever been in, an as we all no she is doing a kick butt job with it...I think it would be silly for them not to tape it!!

Also take into consideration that there is already two versions of the show! In my opinion they should realease all of her shows that I didn't get to see, but I doubt that they will release this to the public.

As much as I would love for them to release the tape to the public, I am pretty sure they won't. Gypsy is a show that has a repuatation of being revived every 10 years or so on Broadway. I'm sure they would not want to risk future productions' ticket sales by releasing this. Then again, it's not like people wouldn't go see a different version 10 or 15 years from now.
