Believe it or not, after months and months of planning, I am finally seeing Gypsy.
I'm getting tickets and I don't know which seats to choose for the show:
Either center mezz. Row B or orchestra Row A seats 2, 4, and 6.
These won't be available for much longer. Which should I choose???

From: New York City | posted: 11/9/2003 at 9:16:11 PM ET It's up to you what you want to give up. I.E: Center Mezz row B are good seats -- you're just higher up so you may miss some of Bernadette's facial expressions.
Orchestra row A is right up against the stage, and you'll see the performers' expressions better, but seats 4, 5, and 6 are, I believe, either far right or far left, which means you willl have an obstructed view. Try for a few rows in center orchestra a little further from the stage than row A -- you want seats 111, 112 -- these are center seats in a theatre. Rows E, F, and G in orchestra are great seats. Because even if you're going to be far right or left, if you're a little further back from the stage, your view will be less obstructed.
I don't know if that helped or not.

Q: Any funny incidents or accidents with Kristin (Chenoweth)?
Norbert Leo Butz: I have this Errol Flynn moment where I swing in on this rope. One night in San Francisco, I let go of the rope and the rest of the actors started cracking up. I turned around and the rope had literally tied around Kristin's head and got caught on her crown and was pulling her off stage. It was like watching Barbie get hung.

Registered: 7/24/2003 | posted: 11/9/2003 at 10:05:14 PM ET If you really love Bernadette I'd go with the row a's if you can. If you're going to the show to see her mainly I think it's awesome to be so close cuz you see her facial expressions, crying etc. It's really intense. I sat in row a and it was amazing! Plus you're on top of the orchestra...I loved it!

From: New York City | posted: 11/9/2003 at 10:28:32 PM ET "R" is pretty far back. How many tickets are you going for, anyway? If it's an odd number (more than 2, or 4) try separating the group, if you think you can get away with it, and you might have better luck. If you're going all by yourself, call up telecharge directly and get your tickets that way, so you can talk to an actual person. Tell them your specifications. Also, it helps if you have a window of days you can go.

The mezzanine in the Shubert is really good (especially the first few rows). You can see everything very clearly. I would rather sit front mezz than all the way off to the side in the orchestra. Row A(4, 5, 6...whatever), you'll miss a lot of the behind the scenes stuff that goes on.

Registered: 6/11/2002 | posted: 11/10/2003 at 2:54:11 PM ET Well, I bought the tickets. It was too late, unfortunately, for your advice Christine. I ended up with Orch. Left, seats 15, 17, and 19. (Seat 15 is 7 from the aisle)
Are these good seats?

| posted: 11/10/2003 at 4:14:12 PM ET That's not too bad. You might miss a few things in the left wing. When the older kids do their act, Rose and Herbie stand in the left wing. But you should still be able to see Bernadette in the right wing during the kids act when they are little. That is the best.

Row F, Seat 109
Center orchestra, 6 rows from stage and near dead center.
House seats, I guess.
I got that seat online two days before the performance, requesting a single.
It was the Best!!
