I was thinking Saturday matinee... but of those of you who have seen it multiple times... what weekend performance tends to be the strongest?

enjoy the show, which ever performance you decide!

From: New York City | posted: 11/6/2003 at 12:26:51 PM ET I've seen the show now (student discounts are a BLESSED thing) 4 times, once at the beginning of the week, once at the middle, and two at the end, and the strongest performance of all of those was the tuesday performance. I don't know why. All I can think of is that a monday or tuesday night show is either going to be refreshing and wonderful for the performers after their sunday dark day, or it's going to be a dreaded thing for them, after their sunday dark day. So either really spirited or normally spirited. Like was already mentioned, the show is ALWAYS good no matter what.
At any rate, Bernadette is fantastic. She's fantastic no matter when you go. I would say... maybe not on a saturday evening, if only because I don't know how drained everyone is after having already performed once that day, and I don't know if that adversely affects the performance or not.
HAVE FUN!

From: Bradenton/Sarasota, FLA | posted: 11/6/2003 at 1:24:29 PM ET I saw the matinee last Saturday and, though the performance was very good and the cast was fine, the **audience** was decidedly flat (it was hot out, maybe that's why), just didn't seem to be in it at all. Didn't laugh much, etc. That can make a difference in a show (or movie). For that reason, I'd agree with the above: go Saturday night. Plus, BP doesn't come out after the matinee, so if you want to see her at the stage door, it's gotta be after the evening performance.

| posted: 11/6/2003 at 1:30:40 PM ET I've seen one Friday evening performance and it was VERY good! I've also seen several Monday evening performances (not sure if you will still be around for that) which were also quite excellent - I think the cast is very well rested.
I agree with what else has been said, try to avoid the Saturday matinee though you could still get a very good show but if they have down performances they tend to be on matinees. In the long run, I would put the importance of your seat location ahead of the performance time.
