While "lil kim" can strut barely naked...while "Urban Cowboy" can bump away...we can not...it is so weird...unbelievable...it truly is upsetting to think that something so much fun is so "offensive" to those idiots at CBS...there ya go

Sometimes life really seems like a battle against extreme absurdity... It truly sucks they yanked the segment.

Well, didn't anybody at CBS Morning Show LOOK AT WHAT THEY WERE GETTING with "Gimmick.."?? How incompetent of someone, and how foolish and hypocritical they appear. So there.

I was just thinkng about this while shopping (hmm, guess we know where my mind is on this Tony weekend)...Bernadette does some rather provocative/suggestive moves in "Rose's Turn"-will CBS tell her she can't do them?

I posted my reaction below, but seeing as how they re-ran the Frog and Toad segment, I guess they should have planned on sending Caroline to represent the Gypsy.(j/k of course)

the CBS exectutives signed the act a week ago so i must be correct in assuming they knew what was going to be shown and worn and suggested in the song. my apologies to the three strippers, but it's CBS' loss; they wanted to get higher ratings for the tony's this year and cutting the best "morning show" act they had all week is NOT the way to draw positive attention to their station and programming. they have no idea what they just started among the gypsy fan community!

I am so angry with CBS. There is a difference between the vulgar and what is ART. The piece from Gypsy is ART and CBS has just lost my respect and support.

I have seen so much worse on CBS sitcoms.

I just sent an email to the Saturday early show voicing my displeasure - SAT@cbsnews.com
Of all the asinine things they could have said, this takes the cake.

OH! I did some reseach and now I know what you're talking about. This is absolutely ridiculous! Gimmick is a great act, and if people don't want to watch it because of the strippers' costumes, then they can get off their lazy bums and TURN OFF THE TV! I was so excited to see it....of course, I'll get to see it live at the end of this month...but I wanted to tape it! Gimmick is one of my favorite songs because it's so darn hilarious! ARGH! NOOO! It's not fair! They should have a right to wear their costumes on TV! I mean...they can wear them on stage in front of zillions of people, so why not on TV?! This is pure insanity!!!
