The cast album has not yet been recorded, due to the demands of the previews and fine-tuning the show. Playbill will report when it has been recorded. Hopefully it will be recorded soon after the opening--but we will probably not see it in stores until sometime over the summer. I am sure it will be well-worth the wait.

Well, not only that, but I'm sure they want to wait until Bernadette's voice is in better condition; she's just getting over being sick.
My guess is, the album will be released sometime in June.

*Most* shows do not record a cast album until after its opening( unless of course its a Frank Wildhorn show LOL)I think the cast and crew have had their plates full with rehearsals, peformances, interviews and their personal lives....give them time. They'll record the album when the time is right
I'd much rather hear the album in a few months when the cast feels releaxed enough, than hear it next week while they're all so busy and somewhat over-worked( I don't mean that in a bad way though).

yea, the cast usually records the album the first day they have off after opening weekend. hopefully the release date will be sooner than june...i dont think i can wait that long. lol.
