Registered: 3/10/2001 | posted: 4/7/2003 at 7:12:03 PM ET I haven't gotten a chance to watch the entire interview with Oprah yet. However, I watched some of it and was also surprised they didn't mention Bernadette at all( thought they did show quite a few clips with her in them). The "theme" really of this interview was about how the 3 generations of Douglas' were working together. I think when Bernadette signed on to do this movie she realized she wouldn't be getting top billing. I'm not going to speak for her but I'd assume she found it an honor and priveledge just to get to work with Michael and Kirk and the fact that she was approached for the role.

| posted: 4/7/2003 at 7:55:20 PM ET Was there any mention of Bernadette on Entertainment Tonight? I missed it but might tape it tonight when it repeats - if it is worth it. I did like the extended trailer for the movie on Oprah but was dissapointed about not one mention of Bernadette.

I understand that the members of the Douglas family are the "stars", but that shouldn't overshadow all of the hard work that Bernadette put into this film either. Maybe I'm being a little too dramatic, but does anyone else sympathize with me on this issue?

| posted: 4/8/2003 at 11:35:28 AM ET I thought Oprah was going to mention Bernadette in the beginning when she was saying how Michael's father, mother, and son were in the movie. Like I thought she would say, "Catherine is the only one missing" and then Michael would say, "Yeah, she didn't have the right look, but we had Bernadette Peters who was amazing!" LOL I had it all played out in my head

They just mentioedn Michael and Kirk. The commercial is pretty much a shortened version of the trailer.

| posted: 4/13/2003 at 11:19:47 PM ET I find it a little strange that Bernadette has not gone on any talk shows to promote the movie (well, obviously they would rather have the Douglas men promote the movie), or Gypsy!?
I assume it's because she is still getting use to her schedule with the show, and will start making appearances after the official opening.

(He and Kirk will be on tomorrow, as well; don't know what time, but it was the 8:00am-8:30am segment today).
Kirk and Cameron will be on Charlie Rose tonight--don't know when it airs where everyone lives.
