Even before I found out about the revival I always would say, "Gosh! Bernadette would be SOOO good as Mama Rose!" And now she's playing ROSE and I REALLY want to go to New York and go see Gypsy...but I still need to talk my parents into it! How can I convince them? HELP!!!!!! Thanks!

I'm 16 and have been saving up for it for about a year and a half. My advice to you is offer to pay for part of the tickets, help out around the house, and express to them how much it means to you. I hate to say it, but sucking up works!

I've just turned 15 and haven't a hope in hell of getting to see her because in London (damn atlantic!) so you can use me as an example and take the angle of how to take advantage of you being in the same country and how so many people further away want to come and see it but can't and its on your doorstep. thats a very good angle to take, i'm quite proud i thought that up. i think that just might work with my parents. I'm the 10 years younger than my sister and 15 years younger than my brother and sister so I've learnt alot. I go as far as saying I am the Master when it comes to conning parents. mean but true.

If you guys celebrate "sweet 16" in a similar fashion (and this is for anyone), why not ask your parents for an early birthday gift (I know you just had a birthday), and instead of a party, have them fly you to New York while Bernadette is in Gypsy! Or convince them to fly you here and tell them not to get you anything for Christmas and your birthday for the next year!
