Fav. BP Song: Being Alive Fav. BP Show: Sunday In The Park With George
| posted: 5/8/2016 at 1:09:11 PM ET I don't even know how to say how wonderful the show in Charlotte was last night. One of the most passionate performances I've even seen BP give. After the opening number she made a statement about the political situation in NC and her decision to not cancel the show - she was to the point and did not mince words, even shushing a heckler like a pro. The program was heavy on the Sondheim (no problem there), absolutely the best "Buddy's Eyes" and "Losing My Mind" I have ever heard, anywhere, ever. Also loved hearing "It Might As Well Be Spring" from the R&H album, and "Come On Over to My House" as done in her cabaret spot in Mozart In the Jungle. The symphony was top notch, too. From my center front seat they sounded amazing.

From: DC | posted: 5/8/2016 at 10:48:32 PM ET I am still smiling after last night's performance. We were in the third row which is the closest I've ever been. It was incredible watching her change her moods for each song and seeing her laugh at her jokes. I love being able to see all of her facial expressions. When she paused to get into "Losing My Mind" I lost it a bit myself. Being close to the stage really made it an incredible experience. We did end up waiting at the stage door last night with I'd say 30 other people but unfortunately she left through a different entrance. I enjoyed hearing her perform Kramer's Song for the first time. The orchestra was excellent and were all really kind when they left the building. I'm so glad we took the trip down to Charlotte this weekend.

| posted: 5/8/2016 at 10:59:02 PM ET jayme1545, we were probably very close to one another at the show. I was right in the middle of row AA. If I knew what you looked like I would have said hello! Did you see what made her stumble? I swear my heart stopped when she plopped over - Marvin practically flew across the podium to go catch her. I think maybe she caught one of her heels on the corner of the unusually large podium? I don't know. She recovered nicely and, of course, made a joke about it.

From: DC | posted: 5/9/2016 at 12:49:40 PM ET Yes, we should have planned better! Were you part of the larger group in the front row or the group of two? I'm pretty sure that she had one foot firmly up on the conductor's podium and missed the step with her back heel. She recovered really well and only as she would When they told us she wasn't coming out the stage door, they said she was too sore from the fall. Hopefully she's not too banged up.
