As many of you know, Bernadette was inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame in 1996 as the youngest person ever inducted. I was at the Gershwin theater on Tuesday night where the Hall of Fame is located. It was amazing to see Bernadette's name up there with so many amazing Broadway luminaries. It makes you realize what an amazing career she has had in theater and that she is indeed Theater Royalty. The requirements to even be considered are a career in theater of at least 25 years and five major Broadway credits. I took a picture of her panel and can forward it to Kevin if anyone is interested. I mean it is just her name engraved on a wall. :-) I was surprised to learn that although she was inducted in 1996, she is actually a part of the "class of 1995". I guess they decide for each year and then induct them early in the following year.

Yeah, that was cool to go around and see so many faces of Broadway legends. Some of the pictures were very young pictures of the inductee that made it even more interesting. Bernadette's didn't thrill me that much as it is a picture I have seen a lot. :-) Her headshot several years back when her hair was still blonde. Plus there was a display of some of the induction ceremonies in a display case. It was nice to actually have something interesting to look at before the show and during intermission. My friend and I actually stayed after to finish looking at all the pictures.

LOL I went to see Oklahoma not too long ago, and I didn't even know any of that stuff was there! I just wasn't paying attention I guess

Now I'm gonna have to go back just to see the pictures and engraved names and stuff.

LOL That's funny. Well I have been wanting to see it but just couldn't bring myself to see Riverdance which was the show playing at the Gershwin for A LONG TIME!! I finally convinced myself to see Okalahoma so I got to see the display.
