Hi,

I saw this somewhere, and I can't recall if it's lyrics to a song (which I'm assuming it is)...and where it's from...I was wondering if you could help me out... here:

where do we go from here, this isn't where i intended to be, we had it all you believed in me, i believed in you. certainties disappear, what would you give for are dreams to survive as they used to do...deep in my heart im concealing things that im longing to say, scared to confess what im feeling, frightened you'll slip away..You must love me, You must love me.....You, must love me.........

-it's driving me nuts how I can't remember where I've read/heard this. Please help! :-D thanks

Take care,
Stacy

It's from the Evita film- the title of the song is"You Must Love Me." It was specifically written for the movie.

From what I remember (I don't care for the movie-or the show- at all,so I only saw it once)-it's toward the very end of the movie-it's actually sung over a sequence of actions.

I do believe it won the Oscar for best song that year.

It would be interesting to know what would have happened had Evita been released between Moulin Rouge and the film version of Chicago-but perhaps nothing would have really changed. Since it's been some time since I've seen the movie-and I only saw it once-I don't feel qualified enough to judge the film's merits.
