Just curious if anyone went to see the show on Halloween and if there were any little pranks? I've been a couple times to see shows on the 31st and both times there's been some Halloween joke worked in, so I was just wondering if anyone happened to see Gypsy and if anything happened there? I love fun behind-the-scenes stuff like that!

Well, I didn't go see GYPSY on Halloween but I did go see WICKED, and I can tell you that -- while I don't think the cast played any "halloween pranks" on each other (I think ad-libbing like that is frowned upon, especially in the first week of opening) -- lots of patrons came dressed up. I can't tell you how many people came dressed as Elphaba (the wicked witch) and Glinda. There were also some bumble-bee twins, a Kelly Osborne, and some gangsters. After a while I started wishing I had thought of dressing up. Also, just about everyone I saw on the streets of Times Square was dressed as something. Austin Powers, Alice in Wonderland, I-Dream-of Jeannie, Captain Jack Sparrow from PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN, Trinity from THE MATRIX -- you name it. I even saw a Sally Bowles (CABARET) and what might have been a Bernadette Peters (from her INTO THE WOODS days.) What's funny about New York on Halloween is that you can't tell the revelers from the lunatics.

Weber: Madam Rose, you're always in the middle of a sentence.
