To play Dainty June in the revival of Gypsy, what are the requirements?

basically you have to be a triple threat...im not sure if that is what you ment....the other thing about June is that you need to make the most out of the time you have onstage(if that makes since)considering June is not in the second act!! i think kate reinders does a hell of a job of that!!!!!!!!!

Here are the requirements that were posted for this productions casting call
JUNE: (18 - 23 to play 17) Rose's daughter who is also her obsession. A moderately talented performer who recognizes her mothers damaging obsession when she is offered a chance to work with a producer that would make her a star and her mother won't let her go. She destroys her mother when she elopes with Tulsa. Seeking a beautiful young singer with a fantastic belt who can dances extremely well.

LOL, BwayBaby, I think that casting call is a bit of an understatement, don't you?!
Anonymous...if you've seen Gypsy, then you'll know what they're looking for. Basically, a Broadway Soprano Voice (extremely loud, great quality) and a fantastic dancer. I mean, she tap dances with toe shoes on and does the Chinese splits, which requires the person who plays her to be double jointed! You have to be mega-talented to play June!

Actally, I thought the casting notice described June pretty well 
If an actor is good they will bring ther own things into a role...make it their own and (especially if the role has been done tons of times before) make it somewhat of a revelation as oppsosed to the way its been done countles times before. And I really think this is what Kate does with the role. She is great!
Baby June is the one who actually dances with the toe shoes on...not Dainty June. And Dainty June's kicks aren't quite as high as Baby June's...but of course excellent dancing skills are required for this role.

Well, I think above all one needs to be an all around great, confident dancer. She does do splits( when she says "Hello everybody. My name's June. What's yours?"). And she also does high kicks. She also twirls too.
