Okay, so as well all know, the Gypsy revival CD is slated to have an August 19th release. I know that some of you have expressed an interst in meeting up. I'd like to meet up as well. 
So here's my idea: Given that I will be moving up on the 17th, (I'd love to meet before then, but unfortunately I won't be up yet) I thought it would be a fun idea to have some sort of Manhattan, Bernadette Peters fan get-together on the day the CD is released -- you know, sort of like the "Harry Potter Release Parties." Maybe we could get some lunch, all head down to Virgin Megastore, take a trip past the Shubert (although unless there are student tickets available, actually going to see the show itself that evening might not be so great an idea... but we can look into it.)
Anyway. I thought it we planned this well in advance then perhaps we might be able to get a nice-sized group together. I'm not sure what day of the week August 19th is, but if it's a weekday (I'm pretty sure it is, since I think I have an internship interview that day) we could even meet in the evening, and THEN go out and get the CD. Maybe after dinner we could stop by the stage door, and then we wouldn't have to spend money on tickets (and we'd still get a Bernadette-sighting in) WOO!
Let me know what you think. If you think I'm totally off my rocker.

I think that's an awesome idea!
August 19 is a Tuesday (cd's are usually released on Tuesdays or Thursdays), so on that note, it is a weekday. I think stopping by the stage door after the show is a good idea, so we can beat the crowd 
Like I said before, that sounds like an awesome idea!
