From Internet Network: 128.59.177.x | posted: 6/4/2002 at 3:38:04 PM ET No it wasn't. She wears other designers other than Bob Mackie for goodness sake. Even at her acclaimed Carnegie Hall concert her second act dress was a Donna Karan. Here is an excerpt of an article in New York Daily News about all of her dresses on the Tonys:
Peters went through four different floor-length gowns over the two-hour telecast. There was a red satin Valentino, a silk chartreuse number from Vivienne Westwood and a made-to-order royal-purple silk by Zac Posen — a 21-year-old designer whose work has caught her eye.
But the best story belongs to the black beaded Badgley Mischka chiffon that Peters recently spotted in a Bergdorf Goodman window while cabbing it down Fifth Ave. Before you could say "Stop the car," the star had convinced store staffers to remove the gown from the window, had tried it on and bought it.

From Internet Network: 128.59.177.x | posted: 6/5/2002 at 5:10:23 PM ET If I sounded harsh, I apologize. Your post sounded like you knew for sure it was a Bob Mackie since you added no phrase such as "I think" or "Maybe". Since I knew this to be untrue and don't see a reason to let incorrect information go by, I was simply correcting you so other readers of the board to not attribute every formal dress they see Bernadette in to Bob Mackie.

I feel like we're under guerrilla attack by a bunch of disgruntled teenagers. If you're really interested enough to bother coming here in the first place (and reading through three years of archives), why not just register and post normally? It's not as though this is some exclusive club. Everyone's welcome.

Just venting-don't mind me...

This certainly is nuts and we can only hope they'll get bored (short attention span, perhaps) and move on.
