Does anyone know how i can make that happen? The reason I feel guilty asking this is because I know I'm incredibly lucky just to see the show.

From: New York City | posted: 7/6/2003 at 3:35:50 PM ET LOL. I think a lot of us wouldn't mind going backstage. But I also think this request might not be....umm... well, good nettiquette? (not that I blame you for wanting to go backstage. It's just... I don't know how well recieved a request like this is normally. It's been in my experience that people who are willing to offer kinda get wary of being asked.)
I don't know if PMing people individually is a better idea for a poster who is definitely, without a doubt determined to ask either way (at least then you're not doing it publically? Maybe?), but I'm guessing the asking itself might not be a great idea.
On that note: I wanted to ask (in this thread; don't want to start a new one) what the rules are about asking on the forum if someone can take you backstage. It seems to be a bad idea, or asking for trouble. Are there any rules about it? I know Bernadette isn't always in a show where this sort of rule is relevant, but seeing as now she's in Gypsy... is there a guideline?
The reason I was asking is that it seems to me that a few of the locked threads started with a similar request, and so I thought maybe it was something that was against the rules. Or it might be that asking is simply frowned upon. My apologies for asking a silly question. I just wouldn't want to see a fight break out or something because a well-meaning fan didn't realize such a presumptuous request wouldn't be well recieved.
BTW, I really am having a great time at this board. Meeting a lot of fun people. It's nice to have a forum where I can come to after I go see Gypsy in a few months, and wax poetical about the way Bernadette sings that ONE note in 'Rose's Turn.' "WEEEEELLLLLLLLL...."

Registered: 5/8/2003 | posted: 7/6/2003 at 3:42:39 PM ET Yeah, I wasn't sure if I should have asked. I guess it's too late now. I know there's a 99% chance that I won't get to go backstage. But as I said, I'll very grateful to see the show no matter what.
