Hey! I'm going to see Gypsy at the end of June, and I heard that Bernadette Peters comes to the stage door after performances. I'm so excited about meeting my idol! I don't know what to do or say! I'm afraid I'll say something stupid or sound rude! What's she like in real life? Would she sign an autograph or get a picture with me? I don't want to seem like an annoying fan, because I understand how difficult it is performing so much. I have so many questions! I'm nervous! What do I do?!?!

I'm sure she's heard crazier things than whatever you might say LOL.

Don't be afraid to speak to her, but don't scream at her like a fantaical lunatic either. Although, one group of people screamed "We love you Berndette" all at once one night (to get her attention b/c she was not on their side of the baracades yet) and I saw her smile.

She will certainly sign something for you, and take a picture; just remember to ask politely, and loud enough so that she hears you over the crowd.

Try not to overload her with questions. She tries to minimize her conversation so she can preserve her voice.
