It has occurred to me that I programmed in a mailing list but have never used it. Whenever I post new news on the homepage about TV appearances or new pictures would you want to get email (if you said "I want email" in your profile)?

Yes!
I missed Bernadette on The View and would have really appreciated hearing via email. sometimes I don't come to this site for a couple days and I miss out on things like that. It sounds like a good idea to me.
