I'm watching Coco Chanel on the Lifetime Chanel and they just showed a preview for Living Proof. Theu showed several of the "all-star cast" but Bernadette actually seemed to be very dominate in the rest of the preview. She was in several shots, perhaps even more than Harry Connick, Jr. Hope that means her part is sizable.
"Particular mention must be made of Bernadette Peters, who turns up briefly in a sort of sparkly Glinda the Good costume. She's the reluctant muse sent to help Alice with her writing. The muse is dressed like Oz, sounds like Queens and behaves like a bored student adviser." Alice Film Review, The New York Times, December 25, 1990
"I'm one star away from Dolly Parton ... and Raymond Massey is between us. I hope we don't suffocate him." Bernadette Peters receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, April 24, 1987
Bernadette looking glamorous at the screening of Living Proof.

awww What a great movie. I got teary eyed at so many points. How touching. Bernadette was brilliant and I enjoyed the movie all around. I even took out my pink Breast Cancer bracelet that I haven't worn in a while. Good to see Tammy Blanchard too.

I just watched it. I was gone this weekend but thankfully the DVD Recorder worked!! The movie was a little sappy in places but overall good and of course an excellent message and cause. I thought Bernadette was excellent as usual. She looked so "earthy" in the scene where she is sketching her son. I challenge anyone to show that scene to someone and get them to agree she even looks fifty!
Of course I wish she had more screen time.

Finally got to see this on Lifetime's website. Bernadette was wonderful and really took full advantage of all her scenes. And I know we talk about how young she looks all the time, but how amazing does she look when putting makeup on before beginning the Her-2 trial...she looks like she's in her 30s!
But she really did do fantastic work..earthy is a great word to describe her moljul. Just very real and humorous and heartbreaking.
Jennifer Coolidge was also great...really brought some humor to the piece as well.
