I'm looking forward to hearing more about the second book, I think it should be very interesting. If I travel to America one day, I will definitely get a copy of both books.
I'm getting this funny vision of Bernadette scheduling play dates with SJS's dogs!
"Particular mention must be made of Bernadette Peters, who turns up briefly in a sort of sparkly Glinda the Good costume. She's the reluctant muse sent to help Alice with her writing. The muse is dressed like Oz, sounds like Queens and behaves like a bored student adviser." Alice Film Review, The New York Times, December 25, 1990
"I'm one star away from Dolly Parton ... and Raymond Massey is between us. I hope we don't suffocate him." Bernadette Peters receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, April 24, 1987
Good concert last night. Saw a few familiar faces. The weather was beautiful. Much better than her last Phllly Concert n 2000 when it got so cold, Patti had to bring out Bernadette's black suit jacket to wear over her red dress. Here are a few pictures.
Edit: Whoops. Didn't realize the pictures were so big. Sorry.

Maybe the new dress is strictly a second act dress and so few of her concerts have intermissions. In other words, it doesn't have the matching undergarments to crawl on the piano and do Fever.
No Rose's Turn. It seems that is officially out and Kramer's Song is now her Encore.

But she had TWO new dresses (I think, anyway.) The first act one was new because she commented that it was the "world premiere" and it was white with Swarovski crystals on it, and the second act one was what looked to be a black version of one of the champagne colored ones she often wears.
Been meaning to post a few more pictures. These are from Kramer's Song when she came out into the audience. I never realized Bernadette doesn't smile much while she is singing as this was the only song where I had her smiling in the pictures I took. You can tell this song (and the boy its named after) are very near and dear to her heart.
