Last week I spotted an item from Thailand on ebay which purported to be 100 photographs of Bernadette Peters on CD. I thought it would be a great idea for a fun slideshow which I could set to music and after asking the seller a couple of questions relating to the quality of the pictures I went ahead and paid for the disc.
The CD arrived today and there is indeed one hundred Bernadette Peters photographs on the disc .... but it looks like each and every picture has just been lifted from the Photo Album pages of this web site and stuck on to a CD. My suspicions were clinched when I saw that my very own scan of Bernadette's Royal Festival Hall Flyer (which I had sent to Kevin for inclusion in the Timeline page) had been included in this CD collection that I had just paid for.
The moral of the tale? There's one born every minute... 
as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....

That's why my ebay name includes the word "chump."
If only I hadn't believed that bootleg seller from Nigeria, my house would've never been repossessed. Oh, well, live and learn, I always say.

Good grief! How many phony Bernadette Peters photographs does it take to get your house repossessed!!!

That sounds like the set-up to a joke. Along the lines of "How many morons does it take to change a light bulb?"

OK you two, this is both funny and disturbing...
We need to post the caution somewhere where people can see it, in case the seller offers it again. Although I guess for anyone who is a fan but doesn't know about this site, it is a good deal.
I'll think about this. Kevin, maybe a sticky for now?
