I've just watched a programme on Donna Karan that I had recorded on my Sky Box and was delighted to find that Bernadette is interviewed there. It is a Biography Channel bio.
as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....

It's kind of funny because I hate fashion and I have no interest in or patience with any of it, but somehow with Bernadette it just all seems great!
Maybe because she always looks so good and because she doesn't follow the more ridiculous trends. You never get the feeling that she's a slave to high fashion. Or maybe it's just that anything Bernadette does would seem great to me!

I know what you mean, I am not usually interested in fashion either but Donna Karan is so very talented. It's nice to see a woman succeeding in such a male dominated profession - (Coco Chanel and Vivienne Westwood etc. not withstanding).
Jean, to answer your question; Bernadette was just one of many people interviewed in the programme and it was little more than a sound-bite, but she did look happy and gorgeous - all in black with dark glasses. She basically said (in a strangely Nancy Kelly sounding voice)  that Donna Karan is like an actor, creating different and interesting characters with every new collection. I'll watch again and transcribe her comments properly but her perception of Donna Karan certainly stood out from the other interviewees. They were concentrating on the business and fashion side of things but Bernadette (of course) got to the artistic and soulful heart of Karan's genius.
