So do I! HaHa! More and more as time goes by actually.

Would we really spend so much time analysing every little detail of a made-for-TV movie if we didn't find something about it fascinating? Something besides Bernadette, that is.

I edited my post. Because I know how much you enjoy it when I do. (winky thing here)

I think I may need to watch it again. Oh, no! I might have more comments. Hmmm.

This is an extremely interesting thread. Yay for all of us Bernadette fans.

Can someone remind me what it is Karen meant by the "infamous shrimp salad?" I don't think I've heard that one before.

Shelli, she's referring to the scene right after Adam gets sick. Bailey is telling him about the time she got sick on the table, like he did.

Kind of a George Bush The First in Japan moment.

Something about the prawn and the mayonnaise combo made for an especially nauseating mental image.

At least they didn't add yet another subplot about having the grandfather attempt to declare them unfit because they were gay. If nothing else, the writers at least managed to resist that one.
Ah, but that is what is so refreshing about the film and I'm sure it must be the writer's intent - it is about lots of things that happen to people in their lives and the fact that the two women are gay is just a mere matter of fact. No big deal, just like it should be.

The vomit theme, now that you've brought it up, (pardon the expression)is amusing and one that hadn't occured to me. But has anyone ever noticed the continuity mistakes in this film? Every film has them but they really are very obvious in this movie. Having said that I know I will continue to watch this film time and time again for it's great performances, warmth and message. It's a movie with a heart and that is a rare thing these days. And Bernadette is certainly the heart of Bobbie's Girl.

as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....

I don't notice continuity issues, unless they're really bad, and they have to be for me to notice. I'm easily entertained and distracted, so I'm fascinated by those who notice things like that. I'm more like, "Oooh! Moving pictures! Pretty people!"

It's not something I'm proud of. I'm not visually oriented that way. I love reading about them, though, and try to look for them. I'm not successful, which is why I'm still trying to find the "made in Israel" box in The Sound of Music.

Now just a cotton-picking minute!

The Last Best Year is the best TV movie ever! Ever, I tell you.

Well, at least it's MY favorite TV movie of all time. I grudgingly grant you that's not the same thing.

What were the things she was dreaming about that were crawling all over her? Spiders? Snakes? I'm trying to remember.

What Karen is talking about-I made a snarky comment about The Last Best Year. I edited it out. But remember, I only tease because I like. Not because I'm mean.

Rats!

That's okay. I don't mind sounding like the nut in the corner talking to my invisible friend. If I shout something out, it's just my Tourette's kicking in.

Oh, yes! The rats!

This has been fun....but I need to go to bed. I did puppetry, storytelling, and the Piggy Pokey (Hokey Pokey, but about pigs) for/with 54 preschoolers today, and I have a group tomorrow morning (not as big). I'm a little tired.

Nighty night!

No one has mentioned how adorable Bernadette looks (in Bobbie's Girl) driving the little motorcar with her spectacles on, so I will:
