This weekend's On Stage on NY1 reported on Bernadette's album release party this past Tuesday. At the end, the host said that Bernadette is in talks for her next Broadway project. Sooooooooo, what do you think it is? The First Wives Club? A new Sondheim musical? I wonder, I wonder.

Moljul-there are also some Jerry Herman revivals in the works. I don't think anyone's been announced for them.

I did read somewhere that Sondheim is going to try and get Bounce ready for a Broadway run, after some retooling, but I don't see her in that show.

How wonderful! Another show, perhaps! Anticipation....I wonder what's going on.

Yes, a lot of people have been discussing her for Mame and Hello Dolly. Mame would be fun but I would rather see her in a new musical.

I agree. Not that I would be against her being on a Broadway stage again in any show! I was thinking just now, how about a new Adam Guttel(sp) project for her?

I've dreamed of Bernadette doing "Mame."

Of course, I hope first that she gets an original show of her own, that runs like five years, but if not, "Mame" would be great.

OK, who for Vera Charles?

In the American Theater Wing interview I just listened to, the interviewers asked her what she'd like to do next. She kind of hemmed a bit, but did mention that she might like to do a non-musical, mentioning O'Neil or Williams.

I have said it before, so of course I'll repeat: I would like to see her do a non-musical--with elements of humor but also some serious elements.

Please, no more revivals--this is THE premier Broadway diva...let's get her in something original and suited for her uniqueness.

I think a play would be a lovely change of pace for her...and us.
