Well first let me say that I was on the bus to New York for the day when our very own Jean walks up and sits across from me and says, "I know you, you're Chip!" WHAT A SMALL WORLD!! We had a great conversation about or beloved BP...anyway:
I couldn't stay long as I had the bus to catch so I went right to front where there were security guards. I said, "can I make a donation and go in and take a few pictures of Bernadette as she signs things for the Bernadette fan site?" And he directed me to her press agent who very nicely took me right downstairs, with the first group of people allowed to go in. I was standing a few feet away from John, Bernadette, Tammy, Kate (our very own Bliss who gave a warm hug to Jean  Addison, Heather, and the lamb and Coco (Chowsy) who you could pet. I was about to take some pictures when a woman comes right over to me and says "no no! We can't allow you to take any photographs" contradicting what the nice first man who took me to the room in the Shubert. They wouldn't even let me stand there for a few minutes and watch! The press woman led me up stairs and walked me out to Shubert Alley! Geez! Lots of security in the room.
They were handing out posters that promoted the CD, a little smaller than the window card that they sell of just the logo, and this one has the great picture from the CD cover. I at least snatched one of these as I was escorted out. Haha it sounds like I was kicked out of a club or something and that is certainly how they acted! I just wanted a few pictures to send to Kevin so all of us could see what was going on today. Sorry everyone!
It was still heavenly to have that 20 seconds a few feet away from the Goddess as she joked about something with Tammy.
Anyways, if you have the opportunity, I urge everyone to go see Fiddler on the Roof, it is excellent! I can't believe I'm about to say this, but it's healthy to see other shows besides the best one there is playing at the Shubert.

Oh Chip1012--SOMEONE got to take pictures (and we know it wasn't you or me!)--I can't link to the actual pictures, but there's 2 pages of photos from the signing at the link, scroll down to 3/10/04.

broadway.com's photo op also got some nice shots. The site just put them up!
The entire cast looks gorgeous!

So that globe site got pictures, broadway.com got some great ones but why couldn't they let me? I told them it was on behalf of her fan site

Because it's called those people were supposed to be there because they're with the Press. Anyone could just walk in and say the pictures are for a fan site. But they work things out ahead of time, have credentials, sign agreements, etc.
