I was reading the London Concert DVD posts and thought: If I could only take one DVD with me while being marooned on a desert island, that would be the one. It's perfect!!!
Hey, there probably isn't any electricity on a desert island  Oh well then I would have to rely on only my memories.
Soooooo that got me to thinking about some 'old' live performances I have been to......... 1995 Bally's, Las Vegas & 1998 Orpheum in Phoenix, in particular. I remember them both in vivid detail, like it was yesterday, even though I seem to manage to forget about most everything else.
Anyway, Bernadette did 'pennies from heaven' and walked out into the audience tossing 'pennies' as she went. The pennies were actually just little round gold colored pieces of plastic, but I managed to catch a few of them.
I consider these little guys as some of my prized possessions and carry them around in my briefcase to this day. When I see them, it reminds me of those wonderful concert experiences and always brightens up my day.
Now how sappy is that???
I am sure all you Bernadette fans know what I am talking about. Maybe you have a sappy story of your own you would like to share

hmmm..I guess its more of a comment than a story. This girl in my drama class at school has covered her book in pictures of theatre and stuff - its so obvious that she just typed something vague into google and printed them off because she doesn't know who a lot of the people on there are. Anyway, guess whos on her front cover...Bernadette as Rose in that purple dress! I got so excited and i was trying to explain to her who she is but I just sounded nuts!
Now sometimes I pick up her book and have a little look in the lesson - just to say hi. Now that is pretty sappy!

I have a few things like that! The first time I saw Gypsy the couple in front of me caught on of the strippers leg garter and they saw me get so excited during the curtain call because I was screaming for Bernadette. They asked me if I would like to have it and I freaked out and said of course! I still have that and I have it hang across the autograph picture I have of Bernadette and everytime I look at it I remember the first time I saw Bernadette perform live in my life!
I also have a signed toy cow and little lamb that she signed and they sit on my bed everyday hehe
