I am new to this forum and I am hoping somebody can help me.
I will be in New York on March 6th and would like to know if BP will still be performing in Gypsy. If she is, I would like to go, but can only go to the matinee show. Does Bernadette perform matinees or not ? (Is there a matinee on a Saturday ?)I know that some stars will not do two performances a day.
When is she in Gypsy until ?

You'll see Bernadette for sure through Mid-March, I believe. She'll be there March 6th. She does all 8 peformances a week, including the Saturday matinee. So, unless she's sick or dead, she'll be there.
There's talk of her renewing her contract, but until that info comes about, she's in it 'til mid March.

Thanks for the information. I will take the risk and book the tickets then.
Hope I enjoy it ! I have never seen her live before (I'm from the UK and she rarely performs here), but I have read very mixed reviews on some messageboards about her performance. I hope she is on that day so I can judge for myself.

Uhh, yeah, perhaps this is a more elegant way of saying it (AHEM...this is a copy of my earlier post on the same subject  ):
"See my reply to your other question. Bernadette does not just take off--she has been performing 8 performances a week with no time off since well--at least mid-May, except for a scheduled and very publicly announced one-week vacation and one personal evening.
No one can guarantee that she will appear when you have a ticket but I'd say the odds are 99.9 to .1 that she will be there!"
As an additional piece of information, if the "star" --(above-the-title)is out, you can get your money back.

You will love both the Bernadette and the show. When I saw the show in late summer I was also a little nervous because of varying reports of the show and BP's performance. However, BP was absolutley fabulous as was the show...I've seen it two more times since!

I think folks have been saying it's up in March; however, I thought Bernadette (on Regis) gave a strong indication that it will extend.
