I'm trying to get CBS to do a week long (daily segment) piece on Bernadette and her work with Broadway Barks. I just emailed them, thanking them for their telecast of the Tony's, and suggesting they do an in-depth piece on Bernadette's "other" work. I think it would be great if others emailed them and suggested this as well. I went to cbs.com and clicked on FEEDBACK on the bottom of the screen. I chose to send it to the Early Show, since they are the ones who did the daily segments of the Broadway shows leading up to the Tony's.

This is what I wrote:

I just wanted to thank CBS for continuing to support Broadway and the Tony Awards. I know it is not the biggest ratings grabber, but for "theater-enthusiasts" such as mysef, it is greatly appreciated.
I annually look foward to your telecast of the Tony's, and I am never dissapointed with how classy and fun it is.
I also thoroughly enjoyed your week leading up to June 8th, with daily Broadway segments, and your wonderful profile of Bernadette Peters on the morning of June 8th. I would love to see an extensive, in-depth piece on her work for Broadway Barks. I think it would be wonderful for people to really understand the importance of adopting animals, and keeping the pet-population down since there are so many homeless animals out there.
Perhaps you could do a daily segment with her that week before Broadway Barks (July 12th), and sort of follow her around and show how she gathers supporters and raises awareness (which she does all year 'round). She even stays late every night after her perfrmances in Gypsy, signing autographs to help raise funds for Broadway Barks. The items are sold nightly at the stage door of the Shubert theater.
