I wish the show wasn't ending in a couple weeks.

From: Northern Virginia | posted: 1/15/2012 at 10:12:02 PM ET I'm planning an impromptu trip to NYC, just to see Follies one last time. I'm trying to decide whether I should go to the Saturday matinee or an evening performance. My deciding factor is whether or not Bernadette comes out after a matinee. Does anyone here have any advice about that? I'm sure it's safer to go to an evening show, but it would be nice to not have to take the bus home after 1am.

Registered: 11/8/2011 | posted: 1/16/2012 at 12:28:25 AM ET BP does not normally come out after matinee with an evening show, especially today after she fell in Who's That Woman! However, if you can get word to her that you are coming in special, she will probably let you in her dressing room. Last night I found out about someone who wanted to meet her for their bday and was trying to tweet her about that. I explained that BP does not do her own twittering and she should, on such short notice, try reaching out to Elaine, or better yet, Terri, who reads all her tweets--she routinely converses with her fans. She did, and she got backstage for everyone today and was invited to Bernadette's dressing room. Remember Bernadette cares about her fans, but she's not psychic and also has to limit her channels of communication for obvious reasons...and people around her aren't stupid, they know people want to meet Bernadette, but if you contact them try to be respectful, imagine if you were in their place, and be appreciative of all they do too. Don't use

Registered: 9/17/2011 | posted: 1/16/2012 at 1:14:08 AM ET Apparently tonight she fell when spinning around during the "Who's that Woman?" number but got right back up, laughed it off and kept going so I'm sure she's fine. She fell earlier in the run when she tripped over the chair Danny Burstein had thrown during "The Right Girl." Apparently when he threw it it ended up closer to stage center than usual so as she was exiting she just didn't see it and fell backwards over the chair. Thank goodness she's okay!

Registered: 11/8/2011 | posted: 1/16/2012 at 9:31:31 PM ET Yes, Bernadette was fine. Of course I'm sure it didn't feel great and wasn't what she wanted to do. But I know some people who were n the font row and someone who saw her after, and they all said she was fine. So don't worry. She may be 63 and little, but remember she also still lifts weights. I know a lot of 40 year olds who would kill to be so healthy and resilient!

| posted: 1/21/2012 at 9:18:31 PM ET Well I haven't posted on here for quite some time for which I apologize as I always have and always will love this board. I have seen Follies a few times and am very excited that I am going to the final performance tomorrow. Final performances are such a treat and I'm glad I splurged for a good ticket as I'm now on a grad student budget.
Thank you for everyone who has posted here with your thoughts on Follies. I have been reading them off and on and really enjoy everyone's take on the show. I too am frustrated with some of the response to Bernadette's interpretation of Sally as I feel while it is not very sympathetic, it is real and honest to the character. I'm really looking forward to what I hope will be a great recurring character on Smash!
For all of you going to the final performance tomorrow, enjoy!

You'll have to fill us (all the people that aren't able to make it to the final show) in about all the speeches and the tears at the last show.
Enjoy the final FOLLIES!

Closing performances are always so magical. The crowd is amazing. Prolonged entrance applause for EVERYONE. Beautiful Girls got a big response but it was Who's That Woman literally stopped the show for an extended period of time. There was a huge standing ovation and the audience was yelling and refused to sit down. Terri White started crying. All the women scatter after the number but our extended response finally brought them all downstage where they stood arm and arm until the audience finally sat down. It was just amazing. Everyone is in top form. Some emotion so far and I'm sure it will increase on the second act. Bernadette is really into it - absolutely pining for Ben in her every look and movement.
Regine is here. Someone said she flew in from Paris just for the show. I thought that was wonderful. Rebecca Luker and Terri White's wife (can't remember her name) are here as well as Rich Lindy. Haven't seen any sign of Sondheim. The theater, understandably, is packed.
Well that's it for now.
