WOW!!! I had NO idea that tickets were going to cost up to $500 for the Modesto (out in the boonies) concert!!! I will try and save up for the $500 tickets....and they better have good champagne, because I will definitely be taking advantage of the reception, lol! I'm not much for drinking, but I will have a couple glasses. I hope my friends can save up enough, because I'm not buying anyone else's ticket, unless I become rich overnight! lol. If I have to, I will go by myself. I suppose that if the state senator is there, that is part of the reason the ticket price is up....to raise money for their county and district. I used to volunteer with political parties, when I lived in Sacramento, and I know some of the senators and congressman/women from that area. I wonder if I'll run into anyone I know? lol. Anyway, I'm going to start saving now for a nice evening gown, and for the tickets, and for the cost of gas to drive about 300 miles! I will still be going to the Cerritos concert, and that is 6 days before the Modesto Gala.

Well that explains why she's doing a concert in Modesto, it's a fund raiser! Mystery solved.

I would go to the San Francisco concert, but I am REALLY afraid of driving over the bridges to get there. The first time I drove myself to Frisco, I almost passed out driving over the Bay Bridge. That is the bridge that collapsed during the '89 earthquake. I remember being 8 years old, and watching it collapse on tv. I was living in Sacramento at the time, and I was at the library when the quake happened, and the bookshelves shook, and books started falling off the shelves. It scared me, and watching the bridge collapse traumatized me. There are a couple of bridges here in Long Beach, but I avoid them at all possible costs. The few times I've driven over, I'm praying the entire time, and my knuckles are pure white.

I might take the BART from Sacramento to San Francisco...it's a public transit route for those living in the Sacramento Valley who commute to San Francisco to work. It's a barge that you take from around Fairfield to San Francisco.....

And yes, I'm getting a stimulus check, and I think I'm getting the $600...so that will pay for my $500 ticket, and for part of the gas to drive up there, lol!!!
