BOB HOPE'S HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOMECOMING-A ROYAL LONDON GALA

Bernadette appeared on the bill of this variety show at London's Lyric Theatre in celebration of Bob Hope's 82nd birthday, aimed at raising money for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. This is definitely Bernadette's first appearance on a London stage.

The show was recorded by NBC and was transmitted on 28/05/1985

According to the British Film Institute Library those appearing included Mike Yarwood, Duran Duran, Rowan Atkinson, Ray Alan, Michael Caine, Chevvy Chase, Phyllis Diller, Marvin Hagler, Charlton Heston, Julio Iglesias, Ben Kingsley, Spike Milligan, The Muppets, Bernadette Peters and Debbie Reynolds.

Bernadette sang a beautiful rendition of Noel Coward's "Mad About The Boy"
