Bernadette and Peter Allen performed a musical tribute to Irving Berlin as part of the annual ceremony. The show was held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and broadcast live on ABC.

The Tonight Show

Bernadette guested on The Tonight Show with guest host Joan Rivers. Other guests included David Brenner and Jessica Walter. Bernadette sang "Broadway Baby" and discussed breaking up with Steve Martin, her family, and the "class tramp" at her high school.

Sunday In The Park With George Workshop

The workshop production of Sunday In The Park with George opened at Playwrights Horizons and closed July 31 after a limited run of 25 performances. The show was one-act for all but the final three performances, and was substantially different from the later Broadway production. Bernadette played the role of Dot, and in the second act the role of Annette.
