Bernadette co-presented with Billy Dee Williams the award for Best Sound. The show was held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and broadcast live on ABC.

Bernadette's second solo music album was released by MCA Records in 1981. It contained 9 tracks and was produced by Brooks Arthur, with an original cover painting by Alberto Vargas, to whom the album was dedicated.

The Tonight Show

Bernadette guested on The Tonight Show with guest host David Steinberg. Other guests included Charles Grodin and Arnold Roth. Bernadette sang "Dedicated To The One I Love" and "Don't" and discussed listening to music while driving, the first time she sang in public, and her upcoming appearance in Playboy modeling lingerie.
