I went with friends to London/Paris and had tickets to see Guys and Dolls as well as Hay Fever while in London. Patrick Swayze was supposed to be in G&D but was not. His understudy was quite good though. I thought the show was really fun and I didn't realize how many songs I knew that came from that show.
Friday night we saw Hay Fever with Judi Dench. That was a fantastically funny play! Afterward I got her signature and a photo with her at the stage door. If anyone gets the chance to see Hay Fever before it closes (which I think is really soon) you should go see it.

But---the chunnel??

I may need to investigate more Noel Coward plays as I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

| posted: 7/30/2006 at 9:09:19 PM ET Well Mandy, I'm very happy you saw Judi. I had wanted to get to Hay Fever but its just not going to happen. However I will be seeing Judi Dench in Merry Wives: The Musical at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-Upon-Avon. So I'm quite excited about that.

I'm getting extremely itchy to go somewhere-it seems as if everyone is traveling.

| posted: 7/31/2006 at 12:03:34 PM ET Jean, Thanks for the good thoughts. It will be the very beginning of my Xmas vacation in Scotland. I'm literally going to land in Edinburgh at 7:30 a.m. and drive to Straford-Upon-Avon. Then back to Edinburgh the next day for Christmas and New Years with most of my family in Edinburgh and The Highlands. Should be quite a bit of fun.
Though you'll excuse me if I don't have much sympathy for your "itchyness". Very few, if anyone, on this board could keep up with your world travels.
