| posted: 10/27/2002 at 7:16:12 PM ET I'm getting a cheap ride into NYC, so I figure I'll go so a matinee on Saturday. I have to see a musical... (class at school is requiring that) and it has to be $cheap (ie. TKTS line) because I'm a poor student Any suggestions? I already saw ITW, Metamorphoses, The Graduate and Phantom.

It's off Broadway so you can get $20 student tickets; and you can see from any seat in the theatre. It's a musical spoof, so it's got music (like you said it had to) and it's histericaly entertainng.
Plus, even if you have seen it before, they change it all the time to spoof the current shows and entertainers (I can't wait to see what they do with Gypsy)! It's been running since 1982.
If you don't see that, The Prince and the Pauper is an excellent musical (also not too expensive); and it may not be around much longer, so see it while you can.

Supposedly it closes today. There was a critic guy there who kept saying that the show across the street (The Graduate) should be closing instead of this one.
