I have heard of her before, but i had never seen any of her work. My Company is putting on Into The Woods, and i watched the broadway version ( 1988 ), and was captivated by her. I am an aspiring actor, and it is my hope and dream that one day, i may get to act with her onstage. She is amazing, and i cant wait for what else is to come from her.

I totally Agree! I am a playwriter and director from Holland and I saw the dutch version of "Into The Woods" with a friend who sent me the DVD of Into The Woods on broadway... It's overwhelmingly charming and Bernadette is enchanting. I know, I'm a slime, but I LOVE it!

Absolutely - Into the woods. I was 16, and I saw it in NY! I sent a fan letter to her and to the costume designer - and the costume designer responded! I still have the letter.

Now, my 2 year-old is captivated by her voice! I first noticed it when she treid to sing along with her on one of the morning shows here (Regis & Kelly or Rosie O'Donnell?) when she was only 5 months old.

I had seen Bernadette's work before but I absolutely fell in love when I saw in Into the Woods. My school put on the musical my sophomore year of high school and after I viewed the tape of the 1988 Broadway hit I went out and bought it for myself on DVD-even though it cost me $35.00. I was hoping to see her in Gypsy but I head that it was closing the 28th, which by the way, is Bernadette's b-day. But I'm super excited cause it's been extended and hopefully I'll get out to NYC before I head off to Loyola this fall.

Will the last one out please turn on the ghost light?!

Into the Woods is the most brillant show ever!!! Bernadette was absolutely incredible as the Witch! I have the tape of the 1988 Broadway version and it is my all time favorite movie!!! I cannot express how much I love Bernadette and this musical!!

When the end is right, it justifies... the beans!

This was the show that shifted me from admirer, to fan. I only have the CD, and get to watch the clips on Youtube, I am in the process of trying to locate a copy of the DVD. But never the less, something about the performance won me over. She was funny, emotional, and had a wicked witches cackle. In the clips anyway. The CD was just plain funny "hehehe" sounding. Her singing is amazing. I've always thought so.

Marie: Because I just heard a song on the radio that reminded me of the way we were.
Navin: What was it?
Marie: "The Way We Were."

You can find it on either Amazon or at Best Buy..Both have it. Personally, I got my copy from my Musical Theatre teacher

Baker09-are you, by any chance, from Massachusetts? because the high school in my town did "Into the Woods Jr." and I wondered if that was you. why is there a "Jr." after the title? what scenes/songs were cut out? just curious. I love the witch (when it's BP)! SHE'S INCREDIBLY COOL!!!!!

No. I live in Rhode Island. You were close though. LOL
And It's called Into the Woods "jr." because they cut out Act II completely. And for some reason, other little bits are cut out, and parts from like every song are cut too. First Midnight/Second Midnight are gone completely.

P.S. Sorry I haven't been coming online, I had the play, and then... I forgot.
