Just saw her in concert for the second time. WONDERFUL! First time was at Chicago Symphony Hall in 1997. Bernadette Peters was signing CD's after the concert, and I greatly appreciated the chance to see her up close and personal. She seemed perhaps a bit overwhelmed by all the fans, but otherwise quite personable. I hope to keep seeing her perform for many years.

BTW, although I've liked Bernadette Peters for quite awhile, it was her performances as "Rita" on Animaniacs that made me really "fall in love" with her. I've also enjoyed her roles in many of her other films and television shows.

Yes,but her character didn't make regular appearances as much as the other characters did. She was on quite a bit, though. My younger brother watched it,but when I moved out the house,I never watched it again,so I don't know when her character was phased out the show. I don't even really remember the story behind her character, but she did sing from time to time. Is it still running? It was clever, from what I remember.

I remember! It was something about either a lost or stray cat and dog. Rita (Bernadette Peters) the cat, and the dog's name was something like Ralph. She would always begin and end each episode with a song. It was very slapstick, very "Animaniacs" if you will. I liked it a lot!
