But I have a question. Why last week Gypsy 's grosses was so low.It was sold out on Saturday.Did Bernadette miss any performance?

| posted: 11/5/2003 at 7:59:59 PM ET 77 times! That's insane even if you do have the money to see it that much.
I have a feeling I know who it is because someone from the show said that this one person had seen it like 50+ times, and that was a couple of months ago; so It's very possible that she's up to 77 by now. LOL
Man, and I thought my seeing it like 9 times was obsurd. I feel better now. I have tickets for the end of January, and probably won't be seeing it before that.
But wow, 77!? I wonder if she ever does anything else, or sees any other shows at least?

It kind of takes the thrill out of it.

I remember I heard someone mention it at the stage door the last time I saw Gyspy. it was my 4th time seeing it amd when I told someone that they said it was nothing compared to the amount of times this other grl had seen it.

There's a thread on Broadwayworld.com right now about how many times people have seen shows, and one guy said he saw Mamma Mia 100 times. I seriously cannot imagine seeing anything that much. I don't think I've even seen my favorite movie that many times.

But she knows this one guy who has seen the show more than 1,000 times since it's opening in 1996(?). I agree with Christine. I don't think I'd fully enjoy the show if I saw it that many times. I know who wei is talking about, at least I know of someone who has seen the show at least 60 times a couple months ago. Not giving any names out because everyone deserves their privacy. But seriously..77 times..a little obsessed..

Heck, I've had some of my friends call me a obsessed for seeing it for second time! (Which is going to be this Saturday!! I'm so excited anyone else gonna be there then? )

And I felt like an obsessed nutcase, a stalker.
77 times?? Now I don't feel bad at all!! And know, at least, I'm not THAT nuts!?!
It was the first time I'd seen it since early August. And I noticed things, technical things, I'd not noticed before. You can wear it out if you see it too much. Though I do hope to see it again (in part because the last time was a bad seat, off to the side with a tall guy in front of me), I don't want to wear out the thrill and joy!!

From: New York City | posted: 11/6/2003 at 10:23:55 AM ET MAMMA MIA must be a popular one to see over and over again, then, because I went one time and there was a girl at the stage door who had seen it 92 times. 92 TIMES! That would definitely take the thrill out of it for me. I've only seen GYPSY 4 times and I'm starting to get a little sick of it, to be honest. If I went to see it again, it would have to be a long time from now.
But then again, I work on kicks. Every few months I start a new kick. This past summer it was GYPSY. Then MAMMA MIA. Now it's WICKED. We'll see what's next. But none of those have I seen more than 4 times. I mean... who has that kind of money??)
(Although I am pleased to say I won the WICKED lottery the other night! Yay! So it wasn't so expensive. Except Kristin has a brand new puppy now, and so she doesn't come out after the shows. She rushes home to take care of it. *sniff* I dont know what upsets me more, that Kristin doesn't come out or that she's got a new puppy and I don't.)

UCFGuardgirl, is Kristin Chenowith your new best friend? since she knows Mom and all, I mean?

From: Canada | posted: 11/6/2003 at 11:15:15 AM ET You guys are all so lucky to have the oppurtunity to see the show 1 or 5 or 77 times! I would love to go see Gypsy, if it weren't for the like 16 hour drive, and crossing the blue water bridge where suddenly my money is worth a whole lot less! Money doesn't come easy to us college kids... but anyways, I have only been to two broadway shows in my life. I went to NYC when I was 16 on a school trip. We saw Amedeus (which broke my heart when I realized that not all broadway shows are musicals, which I absolutely adore) and Saturday Night Fevor. I didn't get to pick the shows, if I did I would have went to Les Miz, which was playing next door to Amedeus...
But, anyways, was there a point to all this? Oh yeah, you guys are so lucky to get to see BP perform live. I don't think I would ever get sick of that. If I could afford it I would go every night! (But then again I am the type of person who watches my favourite movies again and again until I have all the lines memorized, and I'm still not sick of it. I must have seen Annie about 500 times as a child, because I used to watch it just about everyday until I went to school!)
