From: Bradenton/Sarasota, FLA | posted: 9/4/2003 at 4:07:30 PM ET Yikes, it's getting a little too testy here.
this is the dangedest thang...I can't believe all the angst.
This is like where I work: They have a not-yet-built, not-yet-designed, not-yet-even-paid-for building already named. No building, not even blueprints, haven't knocked down the old building yet; it's just a dream to be completed in 5-7 years. But it's named for someone!!
How 'bout everyone just calm down (put on some BP music).
There's no scrapbook, only an idea for one. Let's not jump the gun. First things first.
If you build it, the name will come....

Why is it necessary to go and tell people that you are irritated with them? ***not that i think there is reason to be. can't we all just be peaceful?? my goodness, its not that big of a deal. i dont know, sorry it just aggravated me. i suggest we just drop this whole thing until a later time. just my thoughts.

I say we all just calm down a bit here...theres no need for people to get their tail feathers all ruffled. Without teamwork, we're not going to be bound to get through something like this and make it special for our leading lady.

You guys, I am sorry. I didn't mean to cause any discord here. I would never start a thread to intentionally hurt any of you, nor would I want to willfully or inadvertantly insult Bernadette.
Also remember: Bernadette's run in Gypsy has only begun. Let's focus on that.
Second, we don't have to make any sort of scrapbook at all; it was just a thought. Just brainstorming, I was. I promise my feelings won't be hurt if you guys think it's a bad idea. But please don't attack one another on behalf of an idea; that WILL hurt my feelings.
Lastly:
Kevin, please close this thread so nobody else can contribute to what I see as becoming a potentially hurtful argument.
Again, my sincerest apologies.

Regis: And look at all this hair. My God. That's a lot of hair. Look at this. How does hair get this way?
Bernadette: Um.. it sort of grew out of my head like this.

Registered: 3/10/2001 | posted: 9/4/2003 at 6:55:27 PM ET If you had read my post clearly enough you would have seen that I said I don't think anyone of us could sit here and say " She is going to react this way" because unless we are Bernadette than we don't know. And if you did see that then you'd understand that I obviously was not inferring that I would. Which is why I stated ANYONE OF US.
I had a feeling this whole thread was going to turn into a name calling debate. That tends to happen here when there are large amounts of people with deferring opinions.
What do long posts have to do with "inflated self-importance"?? If you truly believe that then I think you just insulted a lot of people on this board because I am definitely not the only one who tends to leave long posts.
What I wrote, my feelings on the whole scrapbook situation, was my OPINION.....so I really don't have any idea why you felt the need to attack me. I do not see anything wrong with people going back and forth sharing their opinions....but I do see something wrong with people attacking others out of nowhere...and I'm sure most people on this board would agree.
Now, why not continue this discussion peacefully

Registered: 3/10/2001 | posted: 9/4/2003 at 9:37:15 PM ET I just wanted to say thanks to all the wonderful, kind people I've met on this board. Its been great reading others opinions and hearing their stories, But quite frankly, I don't feel I should stay on a board that is going to have posters who repeatedly attack other posters merely because they don't agree with them. I really don't need to sit here any longer and listen to people whom I have never even met repeatedly tell me that things I say are lies, when they are not. And I definitely don't think I should be here anymore if people are going to tell me my opinions are wrong and start name calling...who needs that really?? I think it completely crosses the line when you have posters on a board who have never met you PMing people you know from the board telling them what you're saying is all a lie.So I'm not going to be posting here anymore and will be deleting all of my posts within the next couple of days( since some people seemed to have had a problem with them to begin with). Hopefully, you can help me out with that Kevin I'm hoping you will all get along and continue to have fun
Anyways, the reason why I am posting this is to say-- for the most part you all are a very funny, creative and thoughtful bunch and its been really fun getting to know some of you! I'll still have the chat once in a while if anyone is interested-- since that really had nothing to do with the board and people were having fun with it.
PS-- to those with negative remarks to this post--well I guess I wouldn't expect anything less....
Everyone stay well and happy!

| posted: 9/5/2003 at 12:45:17 AM ET It's really a shame that we have to lose one very informed, intelligent poster just because some people don't know how to have conversations like adults.
I don't blame BwayBaby for wanting to leave after the way she's been treated here. Why should she have to sit back and be insulted by a few (and you know who you are) very misinformed people, who clearly like to start arguments...or better yet, starts arguments, and then says they are not going to read the thread anymore!
"I guess i don't agree with you about anything but I really am irratating by the inflated self-importance that seems to taint your messages."
Pardon me for quoting you Jenny; but yes, you are irritating.
It's too bad you have to live vicariously though a message board, and are therefore very bitter as a result. CUE the world's smallest violin.
