I've had about a million. some have been pretty wierd with her just in the background but last night it was REALLY weird. I was going up the lane off the main road to my school (Langley Park Girls School and instead of the lane it was water and then suddenly I was in a submarine on the way to school and then it surfaced and I hoped out. I was alone at this point but then suddenly Bernadette was their in like a bright yellow rain coat and an umbrella and she was just talking normally to me. What was even more weird was that it wasn't raining on me- only her and then i looked up at the trees above us becuase for some reason I thought she must be shooting a scene and someone was pouring rain on her. Then she asked me if i preferred chocolate in sticks or cubes and as I wondered to my self,"sticks or cubes?" I woke up. very odd.

LOL I don't even know how to respond to that!

I had a dream once that she just showed up at my house one day just to say hello, and I was the only one who found it strange (she has no idea where I live); my friends and family were not even fazed by it. And, for some reason, I was re-decorating my house that day and throwing all of my furniture out, so Bernadette started helping me!

*perhaps the part about my family and friends not really being shocked is because whenever I mention her, they don't seem to care very much.

that is one strange dream, but i bet you could look up the meanings of the specifics in your dream such as the sub or the trees and sky and such. if you do, please let us know what it all means.

LOL It's so weird that you posted this topic! I was just watching an old episode of Regis the other day, when Bernadette was co-hosting, and it was the one where she was talking about the dream she had about the large open field & the silver-back gorillas.

i may well try and do that. good idea! maybe the bright yellow mac symbolises something. I do have the strangest dreams - they are jsut so mad and nothing connects with eachother. I can still remember some dreams I had when I was tiny. I had a dream that it was a misty morning and me and my family went to this beautiful old cobbled church and we walked round the back and their was this big oak door and we opened it and inside were all the relatives that had died, my nana and grandad and my aunty alice. There were more people there but I can't picture them. I was 7 when I dreamt this and my mum thought it was so lovely she wrote it down. I suppose you could proabably interpret something from that. Well enough about my subconscious, how've you been?

Just the other night I dreamt that my mother took me to see an aunt that I never met, and when we got to her house it was Bernadette! I was just amazed. So, she gave me and my little sister kool-aid and then my friend turned into a vampire and she gave him kool-aid too!

Another one I had was that my friend, Renee, and I were at school, but no one is there. We find a van in the parking lot and start driving it around for no reason at all. Suddenly, the van crashes and Bernadette (who is one of the teachers of my school in the dream) runs over and grabs Renee by the collar, then starts dragging her away. I'm thinking 'I GOTTA SAVE RENEE!' so I run after them. Somewhere along the way I get sidetracked and go to a pep rally.

Weird...

I know this is a really old thread but I had a dream last night that made me think of this immediatly. Someone decided to have Gypsy play again at the Shubert with everyone who was originally in it on May 1. But for some reason Bernadette refused to play Rose. So they found another actress. I think it was a friend of mine who had never done any acting before. Well it was almost time for the curtain and I was waiting for my friend in the dresssing room and she didn't come. Finally someone noticed that Bernadette was in the audience and begged her to go on as Rose. Well she agreed but none of her costumes were there so she had to go on wearing what she had on at the theater which happened to be the dress that she wore at Broadway Barks. So I went to watch the show and the curtain went up and Baby June and Lousie started singing. Then Bernadette came up the aisle holding Chowsie and said "Sing out Louise" but she said it without any emotion. One of the producers who was in the audience yelled at her that if she wasn't going to say the lines right she shouldn't be performing at all. Then Bernadette repeated the line and said it like she usually does. But once she got on stage everyone got confused becasue of the dress she was wearing and the Gimmick Strippers came and started performing in front of Uncle Jocko and Baby June and Louise. The producer in the audience called for the show to stop and they put the curtain down. Then I went backstage with the prodcuer and my friend showed up. She told everyone how excited she was to be in Gypsy with such a great cast and asked Bernadette if she had any advice for her and Bernadette said "Yeah, show up on time so that you can be here when the curtain goes up". Then my alarm went off so I didn't get to see how Some People went.

"Oh no, you won't. No, not a chance. No arguements, shut up and dance."

This is a really interesting topic and I think it is hilarious to read about the different Bernadette dreams people have had! Here's mine:

I am watching a Bernadette Peters concert at some University and some students said something rude to me as they walked by. After the concert was over, I went back to talk to Bernadette and asked for her autograph. She takes out a candy wrapper and writes on it "order, balance, light, harmony" (from SITPWG) on the four corners and then in the middle writes "Don't let anyone ever say anything bad about you! Love, Bernadette Peters" (as if she knew about the rude students). She patted me on the back and then walked away looking sad about something. Later she came up to me and a group of my friends and said "Everyone get in a huddle...I want you to keep this Sunday free because I'm giving you tickets to a rehearsal for Gypsy so you can work with the cast and do relaxation/warm-up exercises with us." I ran home after that and said "Guess who just became my best friend?! BERNADETTE PETERS!"

It was quite weird...

I had a dream that she came to a Cook-out at my house. Terri Garr, Caroline Rhea, Danny Devito, John Travolta and Susan Surrandon were all there. Bernadette looked like she did in THE JERK....that puffy blonde hair, and she offered me a part in the next feature film she was doing......

Oh my goodness! It's so weird that this thread got brought back up again because last night, I too, had a dream about Bernadette. This is so strange, I have goosebumps right now!
Most of my dreams really don't make any sense and they're usually very bizarre, lol. Anyways, the one I had last night with Bernadette didn't really make much sense, but it was great to have her in it. I dreamt that she invited me and a bunch of friends to her house. The thing is, her house was located in a huge field smack in the middle of nowhere! She was growing corn stalks and we were all running through the rows of corn laughing uncontrollably ( I really have no idea where the corn stalks came from, but this just goes to solidify how my dreams do not make any sense). I remember Bernadette yelling "We are children of the corn!" And this reminds me of the actual movie "Children of the Corn," which is a horror movie that I saw for like 5 minutes of when i was younger and had to change the channel because it scared me half to death. Anyways, after running through the stalks of corn, we then formed a large circle and began doing impressions and skits. It was so much fun and Bernadette was hilarious. She was so vivacious and funny in my dream, characteristics typical of Bernadette!

I'm certainly going to have to purchase a dream interpretation book. I would love to analyze and figure this one out, hehe. I think it's fascinating.

Well, needless to say I had another odd dream with Bernadette in it:

I was playing clarinet in my high school band (I played clarinet in my middle school band for 5 years) and the director said I should pull up a chair for the newest clarinetist. He said to be nice to her cause she was new. I pull up the chair and up walks none other than Bernadette Peters with a clarinet! Anyways, we start to play a song but realize that it is "Life Is Just A Bowl Of Cherries" (a song sung in Pennies From Heaven). Bernadette and I immediately are dressed in the outfits that are worn for the song in the movie (kinda like sailors) and we sing the song...there is no Steve Martin character but she plays the same part she does in the movie and I do the low "bum bum bum bum bums". hehe.

It was strange and amusing!
